The drive from Dar to Arusha was long and terrifying (to say the least). What I thought was a 9 hour trip was actually 13 hours, which put us in to Arusha around 1:30am. I drove the whole way, and looking back, I have no idea why. 5 of the 13 hours I was driving blind, as there are no street lights or white lines to light up the long highway. There are huge pot holes all over the road, and I am convinced that semi truck drivers here get a kick out of blinding everyone they drive past. However, after the terrible journey to get to Arusha, paradise awaited us at Onsea House...

Onsea House is a beautiful hotel. The food and accomodations are superb and the owners, originally from Belgium, are warm and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay there, but were thrilled to check out when we found our dream house...
